"El Gallo"
After years of searching for a studio to print linocuts, I discovered the perfect print studio in Mexico City, called Litografa Popular. It was then that I decided to draw "El Gallo" – inspired by one of many roosters from my parents' birthplace. The rooster rises and shines for the whole town, to remind everyone to feel the time. The rugged suburban Rancho in Puebla, Mexico, and the rooster fit well with the method of crafting this print in stone.
